Today I finished the Book of Mormon! I wasn’t perfect, I missed some days, but I was still able to finish. I know that the Lord helped me have more time because I was trying to read. I know that the Book of Mormon is true. It was written for us and it helps us learn about Christ and develop a greater relationship with Him. I kept finding the pattern that we need to repent, come unto Christ, be baptized (each week with the sacrament as well as by water) and keep the commandments… then we can be saved in the kingdom of God. It is so simple, but it needs to happen every hour of every day, enduring is what is hard.
I love Moroni 7:48 48 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, pray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true followers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be purified even as he is pure. Amen.
Christ is the reason for everything! He is the reason Nelson and I can be together forever. He is the reason Eden is a perfect child (sinless I mean). He is the reason I can repent. He is the reason that there is joy and happiness and love. He is the reason for the season and I’m so grateful we can celebrate Him. I hope I can remember Him each and every day as I continue to read the Book of Mormon.
I really feel like reading the Book of Mormon will help me as we change to a Home- Centered, Church supported gospel learning. I know I can do it, and the Lord will help me as we learn together as a family. I am excited to get excited about the gospel in my home.
I know that my Savior lives, the Book of Mormon truly testifies of Christ, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is His church on the earth today.
