In Mormon 5:14, it says that the Book of Mormon will come forth "that they may be persuaded that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God." This verse is especially meaningful to me as I have done my project for this semester. I learned to play a medley of hymns about Joseph Smith. By playing these songs every day, I always felt the spirit telling me that Joseph truly was a prophet of God and that he did restore the Book of Mormon. I know this book is true. I know that Joseph Smith say Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I know that Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon, I know it is true. I hope you are able to feel the spirit testifying that Joseph Smith is a prophet of the Lord.
This book testifies of Christ in every chapter. Even if it doesn't say Christ's name in every passage; each chapter and story is telling us how we can become like Christ. Even the war chapters testify of Christ by showing us what we should Not do. The pride cycle shows us how it is easy to take what we have for granted, but Christ is the perfect example of being humble in every circumstance.
When we read the Book of Mormon, we can be filled with the Spirit and the Spirit will testify that what we are ready really happened and that Christ really did come to the America's. I feel my Saviors love every time I open this book and partake in a meaningful study of its doctrines. It adds so much insight to the Bible as biblical prophecies are fulfilled in it's pages. If you do not see how Christ is in the Book of Mormon, you can pray to have this question answered and the Lord will testify to you.
Jesus is the Christ. He was born to Mary in Bethlehem. He taught and healed many both spiritually, physically and emotionally. He suffered for our sins and our afflictions. He died on the cross and He rose again as a resurrected being. He loves us so much. The Book of Mormon is Another Testament of Jesus Christ. I know it is, and I pray that you can know it is too.
